Restoration of the “Grand Roof”: our teams back on board of the Belem

After restoring the furniture in the Commander’s Salon in 2016, the Ateliers de la Chapelle are now responsible for restoring the “Grand Roof”.


The project is to re-harmonize the “Grand roof”. For this purpose, the support panels and chests under the windows will be removed without reuse and replaced by solid wood, mahogany or oak panelling depending on the space, while respecting the layout and moulding of the old preserved panels.


After the removal operations, our teams were on board to present the work to be done to the Belem Foundation and the representatives of the DRAC Pays-de-Loire in the presence of France Bleu Loire Océan:
