News from the Villa Cavrois

Nouvelles de la Villa Cavrois mars 2022

In 2015, the villa created by Mallet Stevens underwent a real renaissance. Our Workshops had the opportunity to participate in this unique project through the manufacture of the building by destination furniture and interior woodwork (see our article of June 22, 2015).
Today, the links between our Workshops and the Villa Cavrois continue through two news.
As part of the project to refurnish the monument undertaken by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, the workshop was entrusted with the restoration of the dining room table. This monumental table, 3 meters long, made of varnished blackened pearwood veneered panels, was realized after a thorough study based on archival documents and the setting up of a scale 1 model (photo 2).

And to discover or rediscover this monument and more particularly its furniture, the Villa Cavrois teams invite you to follow Romain Gilbert, head of our cabinetmaking activity, on a guided tour.
This tour will take place on Wednesday, March 30th at 3pm on the occasion of the European Crafts Days.
