The restoration work carried out by our Workshops are proof of the attachment of the communes to their heritage.

The last arrive in our premises is the altarpiece of the Virgin Mary from the church of Saint-Germain in Saint-Prix, a small town in the Val-d’Oise, which wanted to share with its citizens the start of the work through these videos made when the altarpiece was removed :

It is now up to our team to preserve this heritage from the end of the 17th century, which has unfortunately suffered greatly from the ravages of time.

During our visit to the site, as part of the consultation launched by the municipality last May, we noticed that the altarpiece was threatening to collapse, the lower parts being very weakened. The removal confirmed this diagnosis by revealing woods largely ruined by wood-eating insects.

An important work is therefore begun in the workshop to restore stability and coherence to the altarpiece. The whole will then be entrusted to the good care of our partner Arthema for the treatment of the pictorial layer.
