To mark the 120th anniversary of the Belem, the Foundation of the same name, in collaboration with the DRAC Pays-de-Loire, launched a major programme to restore the furniture in the captain’s lounge dating from the British era of the ship (1914-1919).

Entrusted to the restoration workshop, this work concerned the commander’s luxurious mahogany furniture: desk, armchair, libraries, bar furniture.
